The main goal of modern dentistry is to preserve a complete natural set of teeth for a lifetime, or to preserve the teeth for a lifetime, of to preserve the teeth as a functional and aesthetic unit as much as possible. When various pathological processes (caries, trauma, abrasion…)lead to pulp disease and threaten the survival of the tooth, the dentist uses all his professional resources to preserve the vitality of the tooth or, if this is not possible, to prevent periapical disease.
